With roots in Southern Gospel, a history in ccm, and a newfound love for the urban sounds of Andrae Crouch and Kirk Franklin, Martha Munizzi is a different kind of worship leader. At Orlando's 6,000+ Faithworld church, Munizzi leads the congregation in urban gospel-leaning praise & worship written by her own pen.
Her throaty vocals are powerful enough to carry the songs home, but she's got that choir perfectly in tune and synchronized, too. She alternates between high energy choruses and ballads, but they're all heartfelt and attuned to the needs of the audience, which sounds very responsive to every track.
