Like all of Rocketown's artists, Rowe is a singer/songwriter who writes from his heart, and his life experiences. But this artist counts Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder among his influences, along with more modern songsters like Justin Timberlake and India.Arie, as well as the penetrating songwriting of Nichole Nordeman and Sara Groves. Jumble all those influences together and it will give you a good idea of what to expect.
With groove and funk flowing freely, Rowe brings his smooth tenor voice to fullness on the slick, head-bopping pop tracks, but it's the ballads where he lets the tenderness in his vocals rain delicately down. The songs talk mostly about love, grace, and redemption, but they do it through Rowe's silky-smooth voice and the album's top-notch r&b production.
