The jacket of The Lime CD tells us that if you mix just the right amount of green and yellow you will be rewarded with the shade of lime. The David Crowder Band took two "quasi-unreleased EPs," the Green and Yellow, and combined them to produce the album we are now discussing. Originally intended to be goodies for events like release parties, the world-at-large now gets to experience these two gems melded together in all of their raw, non-overdubbed glory.
You can hear The David Crowder Band, along with other artists, live on the Passion worship albums. The Lime CD is special, though. It's the only DCB-only live album, and it seems to capture the unique qualities of the band in ways that other albums featuring the group have not. On its own merits, it's an outstanding live worship album that leaves you wanting more. I'm a bigger fan of the group upon hearing this record than I was before, and for all of the right reasons.
