By the Tree has now been on the scene for about four years, which is long enough to be considered a veteran band. In this time they have consistently released one album a year, which is, sadly, a rare accomplishment these days. So give the band credit for being somewhat prolific in their recording sessions. They have also overcome changes in membership, which sometimes can be fatal to a band.
Though only four years old (nationally), By the Tree has undergone numerous musical identity changes. Every album has shown a different side of the band; sometimes to the extent that it was hard to tell you were listening to the same group. Their newest album, Hold You High, continues the morphing, though the final result actually returns the band to its worship music roots.
