Fourth in the Fire's 2006 release Awakening contains simple songs about complex things: the ups and downs of their relationship with God, forgiveness, life, love, & letting go. Phrases turn, emotions connect, and melodies soar. These songs are so hook driven that you can sing along even though you've never heard the tune before. "Hello Stranger" is like a conversation between God and His children when they stray, while "Exhilaration" talks about the amazing highs you can enjoy when following Him. The album ends with "Jump Start", a hip-hop collaboration with artist Luke Geraty that calls for the youth of America to connect with God and get a new start in life.
