In 1998, a small independent band caught the attention of Essential Records when its song, “Big Fish,” became the highest charting independent artist song in the history of Christian radio. This was a sign of things to come.
Once on Essential Records, FFH released six albums, garnered 17 top five radio hits (seven of which went No. 1), and sold more than one and a half million albums.

Tipping the hat to its independent beginnings, Far From Home was the band’s first name that was later shortened to simply FFH. Knowing most of us are far from our eternal home, the band has always had a strong mission of faith to reach the lost and encourage believers…a mission that continues on through the band and its music.
