Starting off strong is always a good move, and the producers of WOW Gospel 2002 start the album off very strong with hits from the likes of Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, and BeBe Winans. But surprisingly, the 2-disc set never loses its momentum, providing plenty of memorable selections from CeCe Winans ("King of Kings"), Virtue ("Gotta Worship"), Darwin Hobbs ("Deeper"), Lamar Campbell ("When I Think About You"), The Potter's House Mass Choir ("When My Season Comes"), John P. Kee ("I Believe"), Donnie McClurkin ("That's What I Believe"), Fred Hammond ("You Are the Living Word"), Yolanda Adams ("The Battle Is the Lord's"), The Tri-City Singers ("And Yet I'm Still Loved"), Kurt Carr ("Jesus Can Work It Out"), and many more. We're even treated to first peeks at new music from Deitrick Haddon ("Home") and new artist Smokie Norful ("It's All About You"). - Robin Parrish
