Christmas Wish feels like a small token of affection from Orrico to her many fans. And for those fans, this disc should certainly delight. Imagine if you will, the same urban/r&b sounds heard on her debut disc, Genuine, only set to Christmas music, and you'll have the basic idea. Honestly, there really isn't much more to say about the album than that -- if you get that, you've pretty much got the gist. Producers Mooki Taylor, Tedd T., Mark Heimermann, and Michael W. Smith all put in return appearances here, giving the album plenty of clout and self-assuredness. These guys all know what they're doing, and it shows. The songs are slick, modern, and very easy on the ears. With one new song (the title track), another recent classic ("Love Came Down"), and four traditional carols (including a surprisingly funky version of "O Holy Night"), Christmas Wish makes a nice, well-rounded addition to anyone's collection
