Third Day and Jars of Clay were among the winners in the Gospel categories at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards.
Third Day's first Grammy win is for Best Rock Gospel Album for Come Together. The other nominees were the most recent albums by Audio Adrenaline, Grits, Jennifer Knapp, and tobyMac.
Jars of Clay won its third Grammy for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album for The Eleventh Hour. Jars beat out Paul Colman Trio, Newsong, Kathy Troccoli, and True Vibe.
Other winners of note included The Blind Boys of Alabama for Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album for Higher Ground, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir for Best Gospel Choir or Chorus Album for Be Glad, Michelle Branch for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for "The Game of Love" with Santana, and Take 6 for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for "Love's In Need of Love Today" with Stevie Wonder.
