In an effort to show support to our nation's armed services in the war in Iraq, an outreach is being undertaken by Christian artists at next week's Gospel Music Week convention. A large 20 foot banner saluting our troops will be hung in the lobby of the Nashville Convention Center. Artists and other Christian music industry participants will be invited to sign the banner with a note of encouragement to American troops.
After the close of the convention, the banner will be hand delivered to Incirlik Air Force Base in Turkey by Absolute Records recording artists, Big Fat Jam. The band has been invited by the U.S. Air Force to do a two-week tour of both the Middle East and Germany entertaining our troops and their families. The band will be leaving for Incirlik immediately following the convention.
The banner is being sponsored by the Gospel Music Association, Precision SignWorks, and Absolute Records.
