Historically, the Stellar Awards has been syndicated in select local
television markets with various airdates and times. On April 24 at 8:PM EST/PST,
for the first time ever, the 18th Annual Stellar Awards will be seen
nationally on primetime on BET, which reaches over 74 million households
across the nation.
Hosted by Donnie McClurkin,
Mary Mary, and Michelle Williams of Destiny's
Child, the Stellar Awards returns for its 18th year, bringing top honors to the
biggest and brightest in Gospel music. The program special features an array of
superstars in gospel and entertainment, such as Kirk Franklin,
Richard Smallwood, Vickie Winans,
Smokie Norful, Dorinda Clark Cole, Chris
Tucker, Dr. Bobby Jones, Kelly Price, Angela Spivey, and many more. Also, gospel
diva Yolanda Adams will be honored with the Stellar Awards Hall
of Fame and the James Cleveland Award will be bestowed upon Gospel legend
Andrae Crouch.
