In addition to leading worship at youth and worship conferences all over the world, Gotee recording artist Jeff Deyo will enjoy a new role as a guest columnist for CMCentral.com beginning March 1.
CMCentral.com is an online magazine and community covering Christian music, with weekly original content such as news, album reviews, and artist interviews. It also has one of the most active and highly-populated communities of Christian Music fans on the internet.
"We are honored and thrilled to have Jeff become a regular contributor to CMCentral," says Sean von Tagen, President of SASP, Inc. which owns CMCentral.com and FreshReleases.com. "It has long been a dream of mine to have respected artists with a passion for God become a part of the growing community on CMCentral, and I can't think of a better fit than to have Jeff Deyo on board. He has such a pure heart and desire to see believers connect with their Savior."
The weekly column, set to post each Monday morning, is not Deyo’s first foray into writing. He has offered journal entries and worship articles on his website for years, and will have contributions published in Worship and Christian music magazines throughout 2004.
"As God is revealing how He desires for me to worship Him, He is also putting a passion in me to help others understand the same powerful truths," says Deyo. "This opportunity to share my heart on a weekly basis is a tremendous blessing for me."
Deyo was the original lead singer of SONICFLOOd for the debut self-titled record, as well as the Grammy-nominated follow-up, SONICPRAISe, which combined have sold over a million records. His debut solo album, Saturate, garnered Deyo a 2003 Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year, while the single "More Love, More Power" landed at No. 1 on R&R’s Christian pop radio chart.
Deyo recently released his sophomore solo album, Light, to enthusiastic reviews and strong sales. The album features 13 new worship songs penned by Deyo and his band, including worship anthem "Bless the Lord", with special guest Rita Springer. Deyo produced the album along with Bryan Lenox and Otto Price.
