Michael Janke Promoted to Senior Editor at CMCentral.com

CMCentral.com announces the promotion of Senior Writer, Michael Janke, to the position of Senior Editor.

Promoted by President/CEO, Sean von Tagen, Michael Janke takes over the Senior Editor position after the departure of long-time Senior Editor, Robin Parrish, to Fusemagazine.net, and a change in career direction for Greg Webb.

Janke has been with CMCentral.com as a contributing writer and columnist since it's re-launch in June of 2001. Previously, he contributed to the About Christian Music website. In January of 2004, Janke was promoted to Senior Writer of CMCentral.com, which he held until now.

"It is a priviledge and an honor to have the opportunity to carry on the torch at CMCentral that Robin Parrish so artfully managed for almost three years," Janke had to say. "Robin had the highest standards of excellence, in journalism as well as vision and ethics. It is my hope that CMCentral.com will not only continue to uphold those standards but push the vision of our coverage of music and faith to new levels.

"Christian music, and Christians in music, are at a crossroads. Where the roads are leading we still are not sure. But CMCentral.com will continue to cover all branches of Christians in popular music as well as push forward a positive vision of what Christians can and should achive when they engage culture with their faith and their God-given talents."

CEO von Tagen said, "Michael has demonstrated his commitment to the passion and vision of CMCentral over the past 2 and a half years as a contributing writer. His skills and abilities are well-suited to take CMCentral through 2004 and beyond, and we are priviledged to have him."

Long-time partner, Greg Webb, remains an invaluable part of CMCentral, contributing not only to the influential radio monitor, The Chart, but in other visible and behind the scenes capacities as well.
