Mainstream rock band, Creed, has decided to call it a day.
The decision was made months ago, upon the reunion of Mark Tremonti and Scott
Stapp after a year's hiatus. "We had gotten together two or three times and
nothing happened," Tremonti explained. "We got our instruments and played, but
neither of us was taking it seriously. We were just running in circles. There
wasn't a vibe like on the previous records. It felt very joblike. We knew that
it would take us years to get a record out."
Tremonti and Stapp were clashing creatively, and personal issues between
Stapp and the band had created a growing rift.
Creed had been together for nearly a decade and sold over 24 million records.
