Outreach-minded, folk/pop group Caedmon's Call continues to raise its voice
for the voiceless as members, Cliff and Danielle Young engage national talk
radio this week as the featured guests on Janet Parshall's America, live
Thursday, Nov. 18, 2:00 - 2:30 ET. The piece will focus on the band's
recent Share The Well release which is the first album of its kind in Christian
music, recorded with local musicians in remote areas of India, Ecuador and
Brazil to initiate widespread awareness of the oppressive caste discrimination
against India’s 250 million "Dalits," considered less worthy than even the
lowest class and referred to as the ‘untouchables.’ The album also serves as a
critical reminder of the existing persecution and poverty in the three countries
overall. Check http://www.jpamerica.com/ for local station
affiliates.
Janet Parshall's America is a daily three-hour, nationally
syndicated radio program based in Washington, DC. The show is also aired coast
to coast on FamilyNet TV, weeknights 7-8pm and 10-11pm ET, and 11pm-12am PT.
Janet Parshall's America is thought provoking, interactive radio that allows
listeners to exchange information and learn. Guests have included Vice
President of the United States Richard Cheney, National Security Advisor
Condoleezza Rice, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former
Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork, and
family advocates and advisers Dr. James Dobson, and Gary Smalley.

During its
ten-year tenure, Caedmon’s Call has made the leap from independent act to
Christian music mainstay. In 1997, the group’s self-titled label debut set a
record, selling more units in its first week than any other new contemporary
Christian music artist. The project additionally ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s
Heatseekers Album Chart. Caedmon’s Call has launched six other national
releases—40 Acres, Long Line of Leavers, In the Company of Angels, Back Home,
Chronicles and now Share The Well. Among its accolades are an Album of the Year
Dove Award, a Billboard Music Video Award nomination and seven No. 1 radio
singles. Caedmon’s Call is an original contributor to City on a Hill, claiming
two Special Event Album Dove Awards for its work with the series.
