1st Annual CMC Music Award nominees announced

The nominations for CMCentral's first ever Music Awards were recently announced and can be voted upon by any members of our online community, through January 2nd! If you aren't a member, simply set up a username here: www.cmcentral.com/community

No surprise, Switchfoot leads the nominations with 9 total. In addition, Jon Foreman scores 5 of his own as a songwriter, while his brother Tim scores 2.

Jeremy Camp, Stacie Orrico, and GRITS follow closely behind with 7 each.

Rachael Lampa, Mase, and Relient K score 6 each, as Relient K frontman/songwriter/producer extraordinaire Matthew Thiessen scores 4 on his own.

Producers Tedd T. and Otto Price score 5 nods each, as do Caedmon's Call.

New artists are in full force as Kierra "Kiki" Sheard, Shawn McDonald, Bethany Dillon, and folk/country artist Mindy Smith each score 5 nods as well.

The Crabb Family scores a bit of a surprise coup, scoring 5 nods as a family unit, as well as one for daddy Gerald Crabb, one for son Aaron Crabb, and 3 for son-in-law Mike Bowling.
