Rumors are flying that Switchfoot has signed a mainstream distribution deal with Columbia Records, for their upcoming album, The Beautiful Letdown. Under this arrangement, the band would likely maintain its current deal with Sparrow Music Group for distribution to the Christian marketplace, with Columbia handling all other distribution & promotion. (Thanks to jesusfreakhideout.com.) Other rumors suggest that The Beautiful Letdown may be pushed back to January 2003 to allow Columbia more time to properly promote the album.
