This section is intended for those of you who have somehow stumbled across our site without knowing too much about Christian music except that you like some of it. You may not even know much about what it means when someone calls themselves a Christian. The term gets tossed around a lot these days, and many who claim to be Christians live lifestyles that don't seem to jive much with that claim. While we do not cast judgement on whether someone is a Christian or not (God will sort that one out), if you've got a few minutes, we would love the chance to share with you what it's all about according to the Bible.

In addition to what you'll find written below, we've included several different streaming Real Audio messages for you to listen to, primarily from artists.

* You will need to make sure you have the latest version of Real Player installed to play the clips. If you don't have it, you can download it HERE.

We call this section The Truth because that's exactly what is on this page - the real truth about who you are, what you are here for, and who God is based on what the Bible says. We've selected a few verses from the bible that help explain the basic points about what it means to be a Christian. We encourage you to look up the verses for yourself to read the exact wording and discover for yourself what God is calling you to be.

1. God created all things, including you, so that you might know him and be able to have a personal relationship with him. (see Psalms 100:3 and Acts 17:24-28)

Without God in your life, you will always have an empty space inside. People do all kinds of things looking for something or someone to fill that place and make them happy. Sex, drugs, money, power…you name it. Those things can bring momentary pleasure, but they also leave that space inside even bigger, and often have permanently destructive consequences. You were created to know God, and until you do you will just keep on looking for that one thing to take away the emptiness and make you happy. Apart from God, it just won't happen.

2. We have all sinned, and because of that we are separated from God. He is holy and perfect, and we aren't. (see Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23)

There has never been, nor will there ever be, a person who is perfect according to God's standard. We all mess up. In one form or another, we have all lied, cheated, stolen, lusted, been envious, wished someone evil, and/or countless other forms of bad thoughts or behavior that God calls sin. These things separate us from God, because He is perfect, and holy, and just, and cannot stand sin. And in the Bible, separation from God is the same as death. So Sin = . Bummer.

3. Because of his love for us, God sent Jesus as the sacrifice to pay for our sins. His obedience, suffering and death make it possible for us to have a personal relationship with God. (see Isaiah 53: 5-6, John 3:16-17 and Romans 5:8)

Because God loves us so much and does not want anyone to be separated from him, he found a way to bridge the gap of sin and save us from death. He did this by sending Jesus, his only son, who was both God and man at the same time, as a perfect sacrifice - to take the punishment we deserve on Himself. He paid the penalty that we should have received.

4. Three days after he was crucified, God raised Jesus from the dead just as he had promised, proving that he is truly God, and conquering death forever. (see Matthew 28:5-7 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

The resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. It is one of the most documented facts in history, and no one has ever disproven it. Jesus' resurrection proves that he is the only God who has power over death and therefore the power to save us. All other religious leaders (i.e. Mohammed, Bhudda) are still in their graves to this day.

5. If you believe this and make him the Lord of your life, God will forgive your sins and you will be saved from eternal death, and that empty space inside will be filled. It is the only way. (see Romans 10:9-13)

It is up to you to accept this FREE gift! God does not force himself on anyone. If you accept what He has done for you, and surrender your life and your will to Him, He will lead you and guide you down the unique path that he created especially for you. He is faithful, and He will do it. All you have to do is ask! But make no mistake, if you reject his offer, God cannot forgive you, and you will die in your sins and be separated from God forever. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

6. So how do you ask? A prayer straight from your heart is best. Here's a brief example you can use:

God, I know I have sinned and done things wrong. I have tried for so long to do things my way, and I realize now that I can't do it without you. Thank you so much for sending Jesus to die in my place. I accept what he did for me on the cross. I know I don't deserve it, but please forgive me, and come into my life. Be my Lord and Savior. Make me the person you created me to be, and fill that empty place inside. I'm hurting inside and I have doubts, but I know in my heart you are real. I will turn from my sin, and trust you to lead me from now on. Amen!
